Access Hollywood reports that : OK! Magazine is running a cover story about “Grey’s Anatomy,” star Eric Dane titled, “My Fight Against Cancer.” However, a rep for Dane has told Access Hollywood the cover of the magazine is a “misrepresentation.”
The actor’s reps confirm to Access, that he did have malignant tissue removed, but stressed Eric “does NOT have cancer.”

Yet Dane, who plays Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on the hit television show, reportedly encountered his own real life medical scare earlier this year.

Actor ERIC DANE and his wife REBECCA GAYHEART almost missed the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (27Jan08) - because their car broke down on the way to the Los Angeles ceremony.

The couple was heading to the Hollywood event when they experienced car trouble and were forced to change vehicles - twice. Grey’s Anatomy hunk Dane says, “(It was) just a hiccup. Transport problems; we went through three cars getting here.” Gayheart adds, “The battery died. Our friend was driving us here, then they had to send another car to meet us halfway. It was an adventure!”
