The New York Post reports:

A not so great Dane, Eric Dane, aka “McSteamy” from “Grey’s Anatomy,” isn’t much of a believer in “destiny” and “soul mates,” even though he’s been happily married to actress Rebecca Gayheart (”Vanished”) for two years.”Believing in ‘destiny’ and ’soul mates’ is great, but marriage only works with two people who are sort of working off the same page and are ready to settle down and start a life together,” he tells the February issue of Best Life magazine (out Jan. 12). “I wasn’t always capable of a committed relationship,” Dane says. “Meeting my wife changed everything, but I was still evolving when I met her - so she ended up with an all most finished product.

“Let’s just say the cookies were only half-baked when she got them.”
